simple bidding question - 2008/04/22 13:56Partner opens 1H, which shows 11-15 HCP (we play precision). Assume no interference. If I have 3 hearts, and 4 Spades and not enough tregnth to force game, do I show my Spades by responding 1S (which is a one round force) , or do I proceed with the heart fit and forget about the spades ?....Thanks for any comments/thoughts
simple bidding question - 2008/04/24 13:54My gut feeling is I like playing 5-3 trump splits, but that's just a feeling....I gather there must be enough empiricle evidence suggesting 4-4 trump holding is better
Re:simple bidding question - 2008/06/08 08:39I will response 1S hoping to find fit 4-4 Spade to better than 5-3 in heart. But might raise to 2H because partner will open 2D from 4cards Spade + 5cards Heart (need agrement) My 2D is 12-15 HCP tree suiter short Diamond or 45 Major
