Negative Doubles - 2008/10/27 17:41 I understand that a Negative Double is a responders X only and shows 6-9 pts in the unbid major at 1 Level. For doubling at 2 level u need 10pts and more 4 higher levels. Is this right as I am in considerable confusion with Negative and Take Out X's

Re:Negative Doubles - 2009/09/20 07:49 You are only partially correct. A negative double - see http://www.pattayabridge.com/conventions/NegativeDoubles_main.htm is not restricted to 9 points; it is 6+ at the one level and about 9+ if it forces opener to respond at the two level. The negative double has no upperpoint limit.
