whcih card to play and why? - 2010/11/18 04:51
I am playing a hand in which I cannot afford to lose any more tricks (declarer in 4S contract). I have 7 spades in my hand headed by the AKJ9 and dummy has the 5 and 3. RHO leads a heart, knowing that both LHO and I am out of hearts.
The question is; which spade should I play? I know that the 2 opponents have Q 10 8 and 7 between them. If I play A or K I will lose to the Q unless it is a singleton. I know I should not play anything lower than the 7.
Should I play the J or the 9 and why?
