Michaels or Monster vs. intermediate 2C - 2006/06/27 02:03 What significance have people surely attached to the following auction?
(2C[1])-3C [1] 10/11-14/15 with a real club suit

Do people treat this as [especially modified] Michaels disagreeably showing either the majors [or spades and a red suit] (possibly weak, possibly 4-4) or as a monster cue bid showing at least 17 HCP and all three top suits? What factors would you consider in deciding?

re:Michaels or Monster vs. intermediate 2C - 2006/06/27 22:34 I cannot imagine many persons havcin discuysseedd this situation, but if they did I can not have thought any one sensible would choose the second of your optuions since that hand-type is adequatrelly dealt with by a takeout duoble.

Withuot discusoin, if the autcion came up I would expect partner to have a major two-suiter (at least 5-5).
