When you don't get the cards - 2006/10/24 14:22
You attend a sectional & notate only 2 national champions playiung in the pairs game but a fine representation for flight B, your strata. You're playing with a favorite partner in the one session game. Scoring shall be across three sections with a top somewhere around 50.
On the first two hands you only get 3 and 6 points and play defense. It doesn't get much better for the next 6 boards. No opening hand, no distributional hands. The opponents don't make game on every deal but it is frustrating. All you see are green cards, deal after deal.
What should be your attitude for the rest of the session? What should you be trying to do?
