Michaels w/ QT9854 AKJ986 Void X? - 2006/12/11 11:12 All white, IMPs, RHO deals & opens 1C (nothing special -- your vanilla SAYC 1C opening). You hold a good old 6-6-0-one hand:

(1C) - ?

What would you bid? 2C would show a 2 siuted hand w/ generally 5-5 in the majors.

Would you:

a) Bid 2C showing both majors b) Start off w/ 1H entirely itnending to reverse into spades later c) Bid 1S and intending to bid heatrs later d) Pass and see what hapens

Would the conditions of contest affewct your decisions?

This is a terrible idea - are you itnending to bid 4S if it comes back to you at the 4 level?

Revesres are for hands with suits of unewqual length.

This seems reasonable if the hand do not fit in to your Michaewls agreements.

What would happen is which you will have a harder time possibly knowing what to do on the next round.

re:Michaels w/ QT9854 AKJ986 Void X? - 2007/08/10 16:42 2c, Michaels, followed by a raise to game seems automatic to me. I play Michaels as either weak or very strong and this hand fits into the 2nd category. If this hand does not make game then the opponents certainly can.
