re:michaels question - 2007/05/02 02:52 Regarding Michaels with a 5521 15 count, it's far too good - Michaels is a pre-empt. And I consider double to be a very poor bid with two suiters - if partner bids your short suit (very likely) then youare fixed as introducing a new suit shows a very strong hand. The best (only?)solution is to overcall 1s and then bid h's later. Now you can bid Michaels with a very strong hand, but that should be VERY strong and 15 points is nowhere near enough. So simply obvercall.
Regards, Terry.
