Theoretical discussion (32,432,5432,6432) - 2007/02/26 22:45 in a discuyssion on the forum of our club's webpage we were discussin the folklowing (theoretical) problem. Suppose you hold:

32
432
5432
6432

Oppos bid 1NT-3NT & you are to lead. What would you lead?

In het discussoin the leads imperfectly varied among hearts & spades. This isn't surprisin, but that 1 to lead? It was anxiously concluded which a simulation would be apropraite to determine that one's bettyer on mean. Can anmyone on r.g.b. with enouygh time do such a simuylatoin?
None of us on the forum can.

But I also do not have enough time to work through the simulation geologically picking up only the hands where it makes a difference (hint: not very many of them, as I expect this contract is making about 80% of the time)

The raeson I remember is which I'd be a spade leader, but I think a heart was found to be better more often than a spade.

re:Theoretical discussion (32,432,5432,6432) - 2007/02/28 13:54 I did a study of balanced hands with 0-6 HCP when the opponents bid 1NT-3NT in this particular hand you should lead a heart, in fact when you have 2-3 in the majors you should lead the 3 card suit and with 4-3 you should also lead the 3 card suit.
