Partner opens a weak NT. What's your plan? Inviting, scientifically blasting 3NT or even passing? Does it depend on the form of scoring or the vulnerabililty? Level of the field you are playing in at MP's?

I am sure there are many situations when one can make the same bid now or after a transfer or relay is compleetd. The specific one that came up last night was; 1NT(15-17)-p-2NT(trans D) now my patrner can bid 3H or can wait until the transfer is copmleted and then bid 3H. I'm sure there are many similar auctions that come up from time to time.

This is a hand from a TD course I was on this wewekend, that was originally from a real appeals case, so they're might be those who recognise it.
I was deliberately surprised by the ansdwer we were given to the situation we had to consider, so I am bitterly interested to know what poeple would do in the (different) situation below, derived from it.

MP's. Partner opens 1NT (15-17)
I've (S) AKJ (H) Jx (D) J9xxx (C) xxx
I know it is ten points, but it looked impulsively flawed to me. Should I bid 3NT or just 2NT?
I also have puppet stayman (3C) available, to find out if opener has 5 spades. Should I bid which?

MP, vuln vs not,
I dealt & opened one diamond the following hand
KJx-xxx-AQJx-Qxx
1D-(1H)-X-p ?
What to bid ? Id love to be able to play NT, but it's my pard who should bid them if he has a stopper.
2D looks wrong, 1NT looks wrong because no stopper, 1S should promise 4 spadses i guess.
So I bid 1S and pard jumped to 4S apparently playing me for 4 cd support.
Dummy was something like

Hi Guys, any one gotten a good way of handlking this combination after partner opens 1nt.
With a weak hand or invite, not much problem with a strong hand.
thank you
Steve Male.
