MP, vuln vs not,
I dealt & opened one diamond the following hand

KJx-xxx-AQJx-Qxx

1D-(1H)-X-p ?

What to bid ? Id love to be able to play NT, but it's my pard who should bid them if he has a stopper.
2D looks wrong, 1NT looks wrong because no stopper, 1S should promise 4 spadses i guess.

So I bid 1S and pard jumped to 4S apparently playing me for 4 cd support.

Suppose your partner opens 1S in 3rd seat, & suppose your partnbership uses
Drury (or reverse Drury, or two way Drury) to "field" a possible light opener.

What do you do if RHO intervenes with eg 2H?

1) bid as if partner had a full opener
2) bid as if partner had a light opener
3) use X to show support for patrner in a "Drury" hand
4) something else

Recently I have scene some pairs playing 1c-1nt as promisin 4/5 clubs 7-10
HCP. Then 1c-1d can be with 4 diamonds.
What do you think of this treatment? Ideas? Feedback? Comments?

re:Slam bidding with a void

I find often find it difficult to bid sensibly toward slam freshly holding a void. Here is the latest example. 6NT is the top matchpoint spot, but how to get there? We were playing 2/1.
